The MORT&H 5th Revision is the reference document for every highway material acceptance test in India. For coarse aggregates, it defines grading envelopes, flakiness and elongation limits, and strength requirements that your base and surface courses must meet.
In practice, this means a 20mm aggregate is not just '20mm'. It must fall within the specified sieve range, batch after batch, or the camp laboratory will reject the consignment — and the paving train waits.
This is why we control grading at the source and verify at the weighbridge before dispatch. Our 10mm and 20mm supplies to base camps across Ayodhya, Gonda and Basti are accepted against the same specification every week.
If your project is losing days to rejected material, the fix is usually upstream: consistent quarry faces, proper screening, and a supplier who reads the same spec sheet your QC engineer does.
